Is The Grass Always Greener?
What is it that makes me think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence.
I stand in my yard, look around, and feel overwhelmed by all of the work that needs to be done.
When I look over the hedge to the neighbor's house I see lovely plant beads, winding trails, an amazing rock garden, and yes, a nice plot of manicured green grass.
Maybe if I just lived over there, then my life would finally be all together.
Of course, on the outside looking in it’s obvious all the work that goes into creating that lovely yard; however, from where I sit, it just looks so much nicer than my yard and I want it.
When I was 30 years old, working as a director of pharmacy in a small community hospital, I spent all my spare time looking for a better job.
I was sure that if I was able to move my family and start over that none of my troubles would follow me, all would be better.
Come to find out, that’s not how it works.
Before we move to the other side of the fence, we first need to clean up our side and make it right.
Once the grass is green on our side of the fence; then, we can move and the green grass will follow us.
